Bill France Plaque
The plaque pictured above was unveiled on Monday night, February 18 at what is now known as Main Street Station in Daytona Beach, Fla. This station was operated by Bill France and it served as a garage as well as a service station. Victory Lane Racing Association staged the Back To The Roots Daytona celebration which attracted a packed house of race fans and on-lookers.
The plaque has an etching of the race car France drove on the old beach/road course and a picture of the service station as it looked in the 40's & 50's.
