Stuart Guild in the "Other Flying 11"

This version of the Flying 11 was actually owned and raced by Ray Hnedrick & Donald Guild, Stuart's dad. They purchased the car to run regularly at Southside Speedway in Richmond and to chase the points for the 1966 national modified title. This car was raced when the Tant/Mitchell car was not used. Ray narrowly missed the championship when crashed out of the Atlanta modified race at the end of season after blowing a tire while going for the win. He could have stroked to the national title, but that wasn't his style, Ernie Gahan took the championship.

Dave, Roy Hendrick's wife was looking for an photo of Ray Hendrick's Flying 11 with an "rocket" painted on it? Someone told me, they remember seeing the "rocket" on the Modified/Sportsman Ray Hendrick's Flying 11 with the Ralph Mills Wheel Alignment sponsor?  After seeing the above photo, I think they mistaking the "Pure Firebird Racing Gasoline" sticker decal located in front of the Flying 11 number on the driver's side as the ,"rocket" ?
