Anyone know anything about this car, or where/when this pic was taken.

I think this is Blue Burton's car from Richmond with Bill Dennis at the wheel here and I believe Al Grinnan also drove this car and the track looks like Trenton and by the looks of the car I would guess theearly to mid1960's. Thanks, Mike

No, it was a B&R car...note the name on the side. My grandfather's company which I still work at. One of the Robinson's who was probably about ten at the time remember's this carbut can't tell me anything about it. I don't know who Blue Burton is, but we're not related, and he's not affiliated with the business. Your time frame is about right though. It would have been prior to '63.

Buddy... FYI... George T. "Blue" Burton built NASCAR Modifieds and Late Model Sportsman cars out of Mechanicsville, Virginia, just down the road from Richmond International Raceway. The current Richmond Track Superintendent, Linwood Burrows, worked on Blue's crew for many years. Bill Dennis, Al Grinnan and both Roy and Ray Hendrick are among many drivers who won numerous races in "Blue" Burton machines. Click on the link below and you'll see the obituary for Blue Burton posted by member Dennis Garrett of Richmond. Blue passed just last year. The link has numerous photos of Blue Burton cars. http://stockcar.racersreunion.com/forum/topics/rip-george-t-blue-burton-83-of-mechanicsville-va-passed-away

Bill Dennis continued to use the Burton & Robinson stylized #54 when he built his own Late Model Modified Falcons in Richmond (Glen Allen) in the late 1960s. The Dennis Falcon was the first Late Model body I ever saw at Southside Speedway, before the LMS division started running in Virginia.
