I was there in 71 enjoyed this division would run short tracks ie Beltsville Md. and it was great to see some road racing . the #67 in the left hand center is Bill Ries out of Minnesota he won the event. Did not know of many drivers in this division out of the Great Plains.

The lead car in the bottom right photo is me, Bob Williams #06. This was my first GA race and the first time I had seen Daytona. I think I finished 12th. At the end of the season I was 5th in points and was ROTY. I was glad to find this photo and would like to correspond with anyone interested in the Grand American Division. Bob Williams, Jefferson,Ga.

Great to hear from you Bob. I'm glad you enjoyed the photo. This is the reason that I post them here. My dad Wayne Andrews ran 2nd that day. He was ROTY in '69. I remember that David Boggs won ROTY one year. Do you remember the other? I think that there were only four.
