Pocono Race

Current NASCAR

I have been going to the races at Pocono, twice a year, for close to 20 years now.I like the uniqueness of the track and the challenges it poses to driversIve seen some good races, but not recently.it seems over the past few years that one car dominates, so much so that he can pass the entire field (ie. Denny Hamlin or Kasey Kahne) while the other cars struggle to gain one positionYesterday was an exception to that rule that I think I like even less.it was another one of those whoever is out front runs away from the pack races..I think this points out a MAJOR flaw in the race car .any opinions?

Disaster at Indy

Current NASCAR

you are correct Robbie, this is an "uncontrolled environment"...is Goodyear being TOO sensitive to the criticism at the Atlanta race?...I for one would prefer to see them racing on a hard tire that is safe.....a softer tire, as far as I can tell, only provides more speed through the turns, BUT, if this sport were only about speed then Bristol would not be so popular, it's all about the racing, which we saw very little of at the Brickyard

Disaster at Indy

OK, yesterday they ran the over-hyped race at the Brickyardso someone please tell me, HOW could they have been SO unprepared as to supply a tire that could only last for 8 laps safely???...I would assume a fuel run is in the range of 30-40 laps, and typically you want the tire to last a fuel run, how could they have missed by so much ???The Indianapolis Motor Speedway owes everyone in attendance their money back.this was not a race, but a poor exhibition at best.if this had happened at Pocono, there would never be another race run at that track.but because this was at the track with the name all will be forgiven and swept under the rug

who is your favreot driver & why

Current NASCAR

The driver I currently root for is #9 Kasey Kahne, but my favorite driver is still Alan Kulwicki, #7 Hooters, Champion, what can be better than that???....he did it his way, as an owner/racer with one car.he took on the best, at their best, and beat themBTW, Dale Earnhardt #3 was the best driver ever.no one had control of a race car like Dale, and I like Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon as a tied for second
