All this Talk about the Convertible Division, How about the Short Track Division?

Stock Car Racing History

Big Bill ran a separate Division and kept Points for Grand Nationals on Short Tracks 1/3, 1/4 mile.

I can remember Billy Myers driving a Big Turnpike Cruiser on Little Old McKormik(sp) Field in Ashville.

A freind of mine, was one of the top Drivers Bud Guisleman..

Golden Era of NASCAR videos

Stock Car Racing History

Those Were The Days !

I drove in more than 70 Amateur, Sportman and Modified races.

Most of the old drivers are gone.

But not my memories.

This was a great time.

NASCAR will no longer provide attendance estimates

Current NASCAR

Back in the early 50s There might be as little as 13 cars on the track and less than 1000 fansin the stands!

I joined RacersReunion in August of 2008.

Stock Car Racing History

I was excited and hoped to find some of my old friends that I raced with in the early 50s.
I soon found that most of them were dead. I'm still "alive and kicking" at the age of 84 1/2.
I stopped racing in 56

I want to thank RacersReunion for helping me catch up on what happened in the 60s,70, and 80s.
