2nd Annual Frostbite WinterNationals This Weekend At Orange County Speedway

The finest stars and cars from both the North and the South will roar into Orange County Speedway
this Saturday,March 20,2010 for the 2nd Annual Frostbite WinterNationals.The Tour Type Modifieds
will headline the show,running 125 laps on the wicked fast 3/8 mile high-banked oval.Matt Hirschman,
Northampton,Pa. is the defending race winner.
Hirschman,fresh off winning the Richie Evans Memorial last month at New Smyrna Speedway in Fl.will
try to win 2 Nationals in a row but he will face a huge field of competitors including the Hillbilly Racing Team,
Jason and Bert Myers from the hit TV show,"Madhouse" plus competitors from both the Whelen North and
Southern Modified Tour Type Mods and the ASA/Smart Tour Type Modified divisions.
The local Modified drivers will shine in the spotlight Saturday night as these warriors will battle it out in 2 25
lap feature events.The 600 racing Legends will also be on the card running a 25 lap feature event will the
exciting Bandoleros for the "young gun's" running a 15 lap feature event.
The Gates open at 3:30 PM with the racing action starting at 6:00PM,Tickets are $20.00 for adults,
youth ages 7-13,$10.00 and children 6 and under get in free!Orange County Speedway is the fastest 3/8
mile speedway in America,located off Hwy 501 at 9740 N.C. Hwy.57.By the Grace of GOD and 600 horsepower,

Ha!Ha!,Tim you cracked me up,I watch all the old racing movies to see the cars.I even watched the "Last American Hero"this week and had to ask Ms.Hotrod if that was me in the end of the movie.One of the best day's I ever skipped school,what a learning experience!All the food you could eat and you could win a Vega.Good times,Good memories.peace,out.

Matt Hirschman,Northampton,Pa.wheeled his Hirschman's Garage and Speed Troyer to
victory this evening in the 25th Annual Richie Evans Memorial at New Symrna Speedway.
Hirschman worked his way thur the pack and into the lead late in the 100 lap event for the
Tour Type Modifieds.James Civali had a great run to come home in 2nd place followed by
Ron Silk,Rowan Pennick and Kyle Ebersol.Hirschman and his family celebrated the win in
victory lane.Hirschman continues to win the largest and most prestigeous events in the modified
ranks and the history of Evans wasn't lost as Matt paid tribute to Richie in victory lane.
Ted Christopher won his 8th World Series of Speedweeks Championship to wrap up the nine
nights of racing action.
The 8th Annual Pete Orr Memorial for the Super Late Models victor was Jeff Choquette who
ended the week on a high note.Choquette ran strong all week long only to see earlier victorys slip away
in the tech area.Choquette wasn't going to be denied tonight as he dominated the 100 lap event.
Alex Hasse,David Rogers,B.J.McLeod and Daniel Webster rounded out the top 5 positions.
B.J.McLeod is your 2010 WSS Champion in the Super Late Model division.
The Limited Late Model drivers ran 25 laps this evening with Austin Pickens picking up the
victory on the final night of action."Young Gun"Ben Kennedy came under the stripe in 2nd place.
Todd Allen is your 2010 WSS Champion of the Limited Late Model Division.
The Pro Trucks wrapped up the evening with T.J.Duke winning both the feature 50 lap event plus
the 2010 WSS Championship.Kevin Henry and Cody Blair ran 2nd and 3rd in the feature.
Sean Bass won the 2010 ASA/Crate Late Model Championship.The 44th Annual World Series
Of Short Track Auto Racing was a huge sucess!New Symrna Speedway is located 15 miles
south of Daytona on Fl. state route 44,racing 52 weeks a year on Saturday night's.By the Grace
of GOD and 600 horsepower,hope to see you at the races.

"Young Gun" Ben Kennedy Roars To Victory At New Smyrna SpeedwayFebruary 7,2010Samsula,Fl.By Mike Ray and Ms.HotrodThe finest stars and cars converge on New Smyrna Speedway each February from far and widebut tonight's winner of the Limited Late Model feature didn't have to travel far from home."Young Gun"Ben Kennedy from Ormond Beach roared to victory in the 25 lap feature event.Kennedy turned backnumerous challenges from Jessica Murphy to grab the checkered flag.Kennedy thanked his crew,familyand fans from victory lane.Murphy is your new points leader in the LLM standings after her 2nd runner-upfinish in a row.Todd Allen had another fine run crossing under the stripe in 3rd place.Tank Tucker made it 2 for 2 in the Fl. Modified feature events run so far during Speedweeks.The veterandriver kept Travis Eddy at bay to win the 25 lap feature event.Jerry Symons came home in 3rd place aftera great run tonight.Tucker thanked his crew and fans from victory lane and is your points leader headinginto night 3 at the speedplant.The TBARA Winged Sprint cars came to town this evening and after 30 laps of racing,Bo Hartley stoodin victory lane.Shane Butler and Brian Gringas rounded out the top 3 finishing positions.Hartley and his crewthanked his sponsors and fans from victory lane.The TBARA Winged Sprint cars will run again Mondayevening.Lonnie Sommerville from NB Canada won the 30 lap Super Late Model feature.Sommerville out ran B.J.McLeod and Brian Finney to score his first World Series victory of 2010.David Russell and Dave Pletcherhad good runs to cross under the waving flag in 4th and 5th place.Lonnie thanked his team,sponsors,crewand fans after the top 5 cars were DQ'ed for soft tires.Tech man,Ricky Brooks re-checked the top finishersand Sommervilles' car was the first to pass the durometer test!The action continues Monday at the Florida's super fast 1/2 miler.New Symrna Speedway is located on Fl.state route44,15 miles south of Daytona Beach.By the Grace of God and 600 horsepower.Hope to seeyou at the races.

Ted Christopher Wins Opening Night At New SmyrnaFebruary 6,2010Samsula,Fl.By Mike Ray and Ms.HotrodTed Christopher,Plainville,Ct.wasted little time in winning the Modified Tour Type Feature Saturdaynight to open the 44th Annual World Series Of Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.Thedefending Champ needed only 8 minutes to win the 25 lap feature event.Christopher thanked carowner Joe Brady and his crew,wife and fans from victory lane.Christopher turned back the challengesfrom John Jensen repeatedly to secure the win.Rowan Pennick,Huntingdon Valley,Pa.roared under thestripe in 3rd place followed by Chuck Hossfield,Ransonville,Ny. and Ronnie Silk,Milford,Ct.The 25 lap ASA/ Crate Motor Late Model Feature winner was Stephen Nasse who rim rode on the outsideto grab the victory.Nasse thanked his team and fan's from victory lane.Sean Bass had a great run tocome home in 2nd place with Canadian Patrick Laperle crossing under the waving checkered flag in 3rd.The 20 lap SK Modified Feature winner was David Cramner who held off Ronnie Silk after a lap 14 crashred flagged the event.Silk came from the back of the field during the final six laps to run 2nd with DavidSazarulo running 3rd.Cramner thanked his crew,family and friends from victory lane.Tim Russell held off Jeff Choquette in a two lap shootout to win the 30 lap Super Late Model Feature.Choquette had lead the event but spun his tires on the last restart allowing Russell to grab the victory.David Rogers,B.J.McLeod and Lonnie Sommerville rounded out the top 5 finishers.The Fl. Mod feature winner was Tank Tucker after apparent winner Mark Chrudimsky was DQ'ed.The Fl.veteran held off Travis Eddy and Johnny Allen to win the wild feature which was red flagged after a car wentout of the ballpark between turns 3 and 4.No one was injuryed during the event.J.R.McMickle nipped Jessica Murphy at the stripe to win the 25 lap Limited Late Model feature.Todd Allenrounded out the top three finishers.Tonight day 3,night 2 the action continues at New Smyrna with the Winged Sprint Cars as the added attractionplus a Super Bowl Party after the feature events run.New Smyrna Speedway is located on Fl. state route 44.By The Grace Of GOD and 600 horsepower,support your local short track,hope to see you at the races!

Thank you Jeff,I met some really great people at the N.C. Racing Expo a couple of weeks back here in Raleighwood.I'm sorry Sandra and myself couldn't attend last weekend's Moonshine Event in Mt.Airy,maybe next year.Congrats on the site,it's a winner!peace,out.
