A Flashback for The Legend - Plymouth Furys

General

Thanks Dave! I had some Furys in my day. Furys, Satellites, Road Runners, all those goodies. Would have had a Superbird but for those damned insurance companies. I still have a deep dislike for insurance companies. Please note the car #2 PattyKay posted. My car number was 83 in 1969 and 1970. In 1971 I changed the number to 2 and changed the paint scheme to what you see in the picture. I had finished second in so many races I thought it was time to change the number to 2. lol. Lot of good it did. Still ran second and third all the time. Funny how, looking at that picture, sort of rings of Brad Keselowski and the blue deuce, huh? Please do NOT tell Brad I compared myself to him! He is far out of my league. But thanks for thinking of me Dave. Great to see all those good old Plymouths.

As for that 1960 model, the couple who lived on the corner up the street from me, got a brand new 1960 Fury Convertible, red with a white top and red and white interior. I used to walk up there and sit on the corner and just look at that car. You talk about the certain of the Ten Commandents about coveting!!!! It wasn't my neighbors ass I coveted, it was that red Fury!!!!!

Nexus Fuel Products Reviews

General

Two years ago, when I first tested Nexus in my vehicle, I wrote a review. I continued to use the product for quite some time but have been without it for the past several months. I need to get my hands on some more.

I don't recall the exact figures, but roughly, I went from 21 mpg on the road to almost 26 mpg on the road in a very measured test I did using cruise control, maintainging speed limits at all times. Normal driving for me. This is one product I have found that not only lives UP to its advertising, but somewhat exceeds it. After buying a vehicle, new, which flat out, completely lied about its fuel mileage, it was nice to discover Nexus and have the advertised mileage of that vehicle actually be EXCEEDED by use of the Nexus product.

I do not take personal endorsement of any product lightly as I value my reputation. I can, however, endorse Nexus without reservation. I recommended it to several friends who used it as well and all (about 15) were impressed. Only one was a little hesitant as her mileage only increased by one mile per gallon! Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Try it folks. It works. And I don't get compensated to say that!

GOATS, FIREWORKS, AND WANDERING MAYANS

Administrative

As there will be NO Goat Rodeo tomorrow night (January 1, 2013), I wanted to jump in here and wish each and every one of you folks a very Happy New Year. 2012 is disappearing in our rearview mirrow and I hope that all of you will remember the good of the year and allow the bad things to disappear as well, although some such things seem to linger in the hearts and minds longer.

We have lost so very dear people this year. I won't go into naming those who have departed this year, but I will silenty ask the Lord to bless each one of them and each family member and friend who loved them. Through the promises of the Faith in which most of us profess, we know we will meet them again.

I am looking forward to 2013 and all the promise the new year has for us. I cannot forsee the future as the Mayans claimed, but, as we all now know, the Mayans weren't such great fortune tellers either.

I hope 2013 will be the best for everyone and that each year after will get better. Much to look forward to this year. Many events to plan to attend. Many folks to meet.

So, until next week when the Rodeo returns to the airwaves, my best to each of you. God bless us everyone as we head into 2013.

Tim

Merry Christmas to all

Administrative

To all my friends here on RacersReunion:

Ann and I did not send out Christmas cards this year. That is not to indicate, however, that we are not thinking about each of you as this Christmas Day approaches. We wish each and every one of you, and your loved ones, a very Merry Christmas. God bless us everyone!

Tim
