The History of Bruton Smith & Charlotte Motor Speedway "According" to Bank of America

Stock Car Racing History

Seriously, folks, Bank of America has been fined enough for violations of lending practices, etc. to finance at least 6 Cup teams, 4 Nationwide teams and a couple of truck teams. I have worked in a capacity where the firm with which I was contacted did work for BoA. Regardlessof the Rules of Engagement, I have to say that Bank is staffed by the largest group of ignorant people ever gathered in one business enterprise. Half of them can barely speak English, and the other half can't understand it. BoA has more ways of messing with its customers than NASCAR has of screwing the fans. I would definitely bury my money in the back yard in a coffee can if BoA was the only bank around. And this little diatribe barely scratches the surface of my dislike and distrust of BoA.

An Accident Says Kurt... "I Didn't Endanger Anyone - Action is Good for NASCAR"

Current NASCAR

From many things I have read over the years, such comments by Kurt, as well as his actions over the years, indicate mental illness. Mental illness is not the stigma it was when I was growing up. There is help out there. Kurt surely has the money to avail himself of such help and I hope he does. As has been stated many times, he can really drive a race car. He needs treatment. Please, Kurt, go get it.

I DO APOLOGIZE WHEN WARRANTED, HOWEV ER.............

Administrative

My Legendtorial from last night (should be on the home page by now) led to an e-mail from someone from whom I've never heard before. The e-mail was polite (to an extent) but insisted that I issue a sincere apology to Danica Patrick for what I said about her. I responded to that individual with a nice e-mail in which I state "An apology to that woman will not be coming from me. She should, however, apologize to the race fans she is ripping off". After much considertaion this morning, I have decided to ask you folks, the ones of you who read the Legendtorial or heard it last night, whether or not YOU think an apology is in order. I'm just curious as to your thoughts. I must tell you up front, however, that it is highly unlikely I will apologize to her for anything I said.

Funny the e-mail writer did not think it necessary that I apologize to the Waltrip duo.

I'll be checking back for what you folks have to say. While I respect each of you and your opinions, I am also firm in my belief that race fans are being duped by Danica Patrick, GoDaddy and NASCAR into believing this woman is a race driver.

Thank you. Even if you don't agree with me, thank you for reading.

Another Blown Busch Fuse??

Current NASCAR

I, too, have been impressed with Kurt's runs in that unsponsored, underfunded ride this year. I am not, and can say with total certainity never will be a Kurt Busch fan, or Kyle Busch fan. Obviously, like his brother, Kurt CAN drive a race car. It is too bad he has nothing else to go with that talent.

Another Blown Busch Fuse??

Current NASCAR

And this surprises someone why???? What have I said about those Busch boys all along? And today IS Mother's Day and you know what I've said about that family all along. So, I'll leave it at that.

An Admirable First Time Outing at Darlington

Current NASCAR

I kept "ducking" in and out to watch the race between cleaning with my "feather" duster. Then I had to go in the yard and spread fertilizer on the lawn. What parts I caught of the telecast, on Carl "quacked" me up. I did hear that he had to be restrained from back flipping off the roof of the tv booth.

I will say that Carl did an admirable job. He was quite good and I enjoyed him. To compare him with the imbeciles from Kentucky is totally unfair because Carl is so far above that class of people that to do so is like comparing apples to crabapples. I do think Carl may have had tongue in cheek when he was praising Keselowski's driving.

LEGENDTORIAL FOR THIS WEEK

Administrative

If you have an affection for D.W., Mikey, Danica Patrick, or the NASCAR advertising idiots, then please take Rev. Stagger's advice and DO NOT LISTEN to this week's "Racin' Through History" because you will surely be offended. I doubt, however, that you will be nearly as offended as I am after this weekend's race at Darlington and FOX's telecast of same. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED/ADVISED.
