JACKSON 200 1969

Stock Car Racing History

Dennis, I love getting history on this series. I saw only a couple of those races but remember those two being hotly contested events. Keep the stories coming and let's fill in the record book.

I've Taken a Hiatus, but I'm Not Gone!

Stock Car Racing History

I've been thinking about taking a hiatus for awhile but I didn't know how to spell it. Ain't High School wonderful?

Yes, congratulations on the graduation Cody. I must say you are very missed on Tuesday nights! I hope something works out where you can soon return to the show.

Dennis, you are right about the guided tour, especially when it's Cody guiding you. I had an awesome day at the Hall of Fame there in Dawsonville because Cody gave me the tour.

I'll be thinking of you Saturday as you receive that Diploma Cody. I will remind you that part of my credo is "never give up your dream". You have the talent to be what you want to be as an announcer so go for it.

Kurt Busch Crashes at Indy

General

Wishing Kurt well this weekend. Make us proud, Kurt. NASCAR drivers have had comparative success at Indy. Will be watching.

Jamie did it and in style

Current NASCAR

I thought the racing was great. Cousin Carl did everything he could to wreck Jamie in that last 10 laps without making it obvious, but Jamie was too tough for him. NASCAR had a meeting with Kyle Busch prior to the race lamenting the fact that "Crash" Patrick was not in the race so some action would be required from someone else. Once 1.5 million was agreed upon, Kyle made it look good for the fans with his crash. Too bad he had to take Logano with him.

Seriously, from day one I have had tremendous respect for Jamie McMurray for his ability and for his class. He is truly a gentleman who knows how to drive a race car and someone who cares for others. I've already been working on the Legendtorial for this Tuesday mentioning Jamie and that was BEFORE he won.

Kurt Busch running Indy is turning out to be a big boost for him and, by extension, for NASCAR. Being tenth fastest overall yesterday was some great adapting to the Indy cars. I will be watching Indy next Sunday so I will be in for a full day of racing.

Guess Danica (and NASCAR) need the Wizard of Oz

Administrative

Good logic Bobby. It does seem that way.

I do find it quite hilarious how all the Danica fans are raising the roof over the voting that got Josh Wise in the race and left Danica in the motor home lot. Hearing some of the explanations and allegations are giving me some of the best belly laughs I've had in a long time.

Now that was very funny, but even funnier, I think, was what I learned this morning. Josh Wise was voted in because a young man, 15 years old, from Illinois, likes Josh and used a web site to raise money to get Josh's ride funded for Talladega. That worked so well, the kid turned his attention to the Fan Vote to get Josh in the All-Star race. Way to go kid!!!!! Guess there are young men more interested in the sport of racing than in women in panties parading around for the camera. Even though that video is funny, I think having Go Daddy and their ....... slammed by a 15 year old kid and another website is too funny for words.
