Bob Burcham of Rossville, GA led 178 laps of the 200 lap distance to capture the Speedy Morelock 200 at Middle Georgia Raceway on February 28th, 1971. Burcham driving a 1964 Chevelle finished 4 seconds ahead of Alton Jones, and took home $1000 for the win. Bob Leach started on the pole with Burcham on the outside front row.
