In 1975or 1976 Sam bought this car to Beltsville Speedway in Maryland for Cale Yarborough to drive and Cale was in practice and someone blew an engine going into turn 1 and Cale hit the oil and went straight into the steel guardrail. Calewas offered another ride but he saidthe wreckrung his bell, but he stay around and talked to everyone until the end of the night.
