CHARLEY BINKLEY WHILELEADING THE SOUTHERN 300 WITH ONLY 17 LAPS TO GO..HE GOT PINCHED -UP ON THE WALL AND TORE DOWN ABOUT 200 FEET OF FENCING LANDING IN TURN ONE...HURT HIS LEG A LITTLE,BUT WALKED AWAY!

Scary wreck from where I was sitting in the stands that afternoon, but probably just a bit scarier from where Charlie was sitting. I think everyone held their breath until he finally climbed out of the car.
