An ad for the October 31, 1948 NASCAR race at Winston-Salem Speedway aka Peace Haven Speedway. Fonty Flock set a new NASCAR half-mile record qualifying lap at a smokin' 25.15 sec. (that stood for a year & a half), and then went on to beat Red Byron and Bill Blair for the Feature win. The 1st Heat was won by Fonty Flock. The 2nd Heat was won by Johnny Grubb. The Consolation Race was won by Jimmie Lewallen.

This was race 51 of 52 on the inaugural NASCAR Championship season.
