Gloversville, New York's Doc Blanchard with yet another unusual creation of owner Red Cromer. Red ran a very busy car and truck repair shop and Doc was one of the head wrenches there. Maybe thats how he got the name Doc, I dunno. I do know that in an era of 1930's coupes and sedans, they campaigned some odd lookin rides like this 40's something Studebaker coupe and later a 49' Stude 2dr. sedan. When Red quit and Doc went on his own, he built and drove a silver and met. blue #95 36' Chevy coupe. It was by far the most beautiful modified coupe I ever saw,...bar none. If you were thinkin this pic was taken at Fonda Speedway (NY), your right.
