This car the roof was too low, because my dad knows a guy who bought and tried to run it, but NASCAR told him it was too low. He told the offical well hell you let Earnhardt run it!

I've heard more a couple of those kind of stories over the years, Kyle. Can't remember who....but someone bought one of Juniors old cars and couldn't run it either. Also remember when Junior ran a late model at ...hmmm...Martinsville, I think. It caught fire and melted the body...which was SUPPOSED to be steel. Remember as Bill France once said..."It's our circus, and we choose the clowns". I was a crewman on a Craftsman Truck team when Dodge was entering the sport. Our truck didn't fit a single template...but we got through inspection. The officials looked the other way while I/we lifted the truck to get it to meet the height bar.
