I remember that car of Jimmy's at both Southside and South Boston Speedways in Virginia. Here's a shot of Jimmy in a modified "up nawth" posted on Dave Dyke's Racingthroughtime.com site: Coaches were once almost as popular as theircoupe cousins one would think when taking a trip though the archives. Heres one of the prettiest of all of them captured at the Stafford Motor Speedway of the early 1970s. The driver is Virginia native Jimmy Griffin who was a successful competitor on both the NASCAR modified & late model circuit for many years. (Silvia Collection).

Remember Jimmy and this car very well. Car was owned by Bobby Hylton and Cubby Jackson from Danville, VA. Turning the wrenches were Jack Moore and Kenneth Hammock. The car and driver were indeed very successful at South Boston and Southside. Had some very memorable battles with Sonny Hutchins / Junie Dunleavy Ford !! Thanks for sharing Andy.
