N.Wilkesboro had that kind of fence and I've got photos of the #24 seen going through the turn (with white swoop) at a big race at NW. Car was driven by Tim Flock.

I agree with Kerry - This is not Columbia

I don't think this is Columbia, but a track in North Carolina.........maybe North Wilkesboro. The #102 has a Boone, NC sponsor, and the #56 coupe in the background was often driven by triad-area driver, Jimmy Lewallen.

Thank you Kerry, Jack, and Bobby. Columbia had a fence too...but I'm not sure this late 40's photo is the same fence I remember in the 60's. Maybe Gary L. will see this and can confirm N. Wilkesboro.

I agree with previous replies. This N. Wilkes Tripletts was a small shop easy og Boone they would not have gone to far from home. Also from an old hillbilly those are the Blue Ridge Mts. Nice to see a car from my hometown. Thanks.

There is a short film clip at 7:38 showing cars taking one lap at this track in the Raymond Parks documentary from TNT here - I have no doubt this is Greensboro Fairgrounds after seeing the landmarks in the film clip. You can see the #24 North Wilkesboro owned car in the distance so the date could be anywhere from '47 to '49 when that car was active.
