I HAVE THE ANSWER. IT'S SIMPLE AND INEXPENSIVE

General

We all know that a fuel additive is a NASCAR no no ......The answer is to put the tanks back to 21. whatever they used to be. The fuel tank reduction is another expample of NASCAR's manipulation of the sport. If I am not mistaken they even tired an even smaller tank at Talladega a few years ago.

No offence Tim ......

Of course my technical ignorance is on display here but far too many races have been decided by fuel mileage and far too many cars have been torn up because of the restrictor plate.

And so it goes

Will the two "new" rules end two-car tandems at Talladega & Daytona???

General

Sorry Wally but NASCAR's tweaks are not about safety but about keeping it close. Allions's cartwheel at Dega in 87 surely had to be addressed but most of whatthe sanctioning body has done since is a complete joke.

The July Daytona event is a clear example of the JOKE. Bill France did not like it when Petty dusted the field at Daytona in 1964 and did something about it but his move nearly bankrupted NASCAR. France Jr. did not like Bill Elliott's dominance at Daytona in 1985 and he tried to address it but failed.

The restricotor plate solved the problem of a team and driver having their act together at Daytona. In recent years the new Daytona MODEL has leaked into the entire series from how the cars are set up to how the races are conducted. But really, this is nothing new is it?

What NASCAR did to the cooling systems of these cars during Speedweeks was terrible. They created this mousetrap and it does not amtter how they tweak their trap it still sucks.

Did someone have a convient flat late in the Richmond race to tighten up the field ???

General

Jeff should have kept his trap shut even it is true. If he isgoing to bang on someone it should be Richard Childress as Paul MAY have been given instruction.

This is typical of the open mouth syndrome which we all suffer from time to time.

A note to Jeff, take care of it on the race track.

Junie Donlavey to be Honored Friday Night

General

Junie is unique as we all are and when it came to racin if you really wanted to get into it his door was alwasy open. One of my best memories is of a brief conversation with Junie at Dover and I could tell immediately what he is about. Junie is a winner inside and out.
