THE year of 2015

General

Yes, Sir, Mr. Mallonee. A very Happy New Year to everyone. I am hoping, and expect, 2016 to bring even more attention to this site and to the efforts to preserve and present the history and heritage of this great sport as it should be remembered. Thank you for all your contributions and I hope 2016 will find the two of us in the same places more than once. God bless!

A VERY BUSY LEGEND

Administrative

Folks, it appears I will have very little time for the first three or four months of 2016 to participate in RacersReunion activities. I have noticed in newspapers, on radio and television, that since the Friday after Thanksgiving, EVERY retailer in the country has been having "door-buster" sales on anything and everything. I figure with that many busted doors, I can open a door repair business and be very wealthy by May!!!!!

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. This site has the distinction of having the best members of any site on the world-wide web. We are truly blessed to have this place to share!

Tim

Bobby Allison

Stock Car Racing History

Thoughts and prayers to all the Allison Family. Like Billy B., I was able to share Merry Christmas greetings with the Allisons at Stocks for Tots. Every appearance of which I was a part this past year, Bobby and Judy were also there. The event in Concord, N.C., just before the 600 allowed a great deal of time to talk with the Allisons. The one thing I learned about Judy over the past few years is that she was like my mother; she genuinely liked everyone she met and was the epitome of graciousness. She will be greatly missed by all the Allisons as she was the glue of that family. She has been by Bobby's side constantly for the past 15 years after their reconciliation, you didn't see one without the other. God bless the family and all who loved them.

To each and every one of you who showed up in Mooresville yesterday (Saturday the 7th), no matter how long you were able to stay, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A PART OF THAT. I personally had an awesome time, but I always do when I'm hanging out with the best of folks. I hope you each enjoyed it half as much as I did and then I'll know you had a blast.

A very special thank you to Mr. Bob Hissom who arranged discount admissions for us at both the N.C. Auto Racing Hall of Fame and Memory Lane. Also, a very special thank you to Alex Beam for discounting the admission AND for being there to personally greet our group upon arrival and to entertain us with some great stories. A very special thank you goes to Don Miller who came out in that lousy weather to spend some time with us and tell us some personal stories. It was a wonderful time.

I would also like to thank the staff of the N.C. Auto Racing Hall of Fame for their exceptional welcome to the facility. I am not mentioning names here for fear I will overlook one of the individuals who were so kind and accommodating.

I think I have to say, if I were rating all our RacersReunion adventure trips, this would have to be THE BEST. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
