I never saw the Tyner car with door glass ever before. This must be as the car rolled in for the race.

As the story goes, Roy crashed in practice, wiped the front end on off the car. He went to the hospital, the car went to a local Pontiac dealership that just happened to have the sheetmetal required to repair the car. With a black front end, it was driven by Worth McMillion, his last ride. And the car remained with the black front end on for the next race.

The hauler was a crew cab dodge. Never saw it before, never knew about the dual rear axles. Neat pics, are there any more of the Tyner car or the hauler available?

I'm looking for programs (or just information) about Late Model Sportsman racesat Beltsville, 1971, 1972, 1973. Specifically looking for entry lists, showing driver, car and owner info.

Was there an owner from Delaware by the name of James Wilkins that raced here? Don't know who might be the drivers. Any help appreciated

Roy Tyner Pontiac pictures/press guide/programs

Always looking for any pictures of the Roy Tyner 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix. Specifically need a photo with 428 callout on hood. I saw a negative on EBAY once with the Tyner car pictured with the 428 but the other cars were wing cars and I could never get a print from the winner.

Also looking for an original Press Kit "Carolina Pepsi Special, ROy Tyner at the Wheel" that describes the car as it was to be built. I havea copy of it but only know of two originals owned by Tripp and Bill, Roy's sons.

Automotive archeology...The Tyner GP looked about the same coming out of the woods in PA in 2009. The details are all preserved to restore Worth's ride, from the original seat and taped steering wheel, the gusseted cage, fuel cell can, and on and on. I hope that I can see this car restored one day next to the Tyner GP.

The cars become more than old iron...the history and the stories, most of which get taller as time goes on, come out as people see and recall the car as it raced so long ago. The transformation from hulk of scrap to dream collector is long and hard yet in some ways more easy to complete than a street car restoration. I hope John keeps us updated on the progress.

Having been silent so long, when you do fire it up, you'll notice the NOISE hasn't changed!!!

Hope you blow out the windows of the garage in short time!!

On th picture of ROy with the car holding the Pepsi can, what triangularpatch is on the right side of the jacket under the round pepsi patch? Where can you get old patches?
