That's a fact. I remember someone brought out a '66 Fairlane to KilKare one Friday night. It was primer brown, and still wet. Two strips of white masking tape were applied, so it became # 11 and Lennie proceeded to smoke the field in the feature. The next week it was the familiar light blue # 11 Denney Motors car car with the usual paint job. The car pictured is a year earlier and Dick Dunlevy Sr. drove this one. I can't find a shot of the 1966 Fairlane. I'll look for it and any other Lenny photos I may have. Steve

Thanks Steve. I remember one of Lennie's first rides in a stock car was in Elmer Buxtons Grand National Car (todays sprit cup) at Darlington for the Southern 500. Being a flat track motor cycle racer, we told him to just get used to it and take it EZ!!! Well in true Lennie stile, Petty passed him and Lenny jumped on Pettys back bumper and started drafting him! The anouncer went nuts and commented where did this guy come frome!!! Asking what he thought when he came in, Lenny replied that Super Speedway driving was boring and was like going down the road in a hurrry!!!!! That was Lennie's style .. Flat out!
