1963 Goldenstate 400 Dave MacDonald in Wood Bros Ford - Billy Wade
Dave MacDonald leads Billy Wade in the 1963 Golden State 400 at Riverside Raceway. Dave finished 2nd in this Wood Brothers Ford Galaxie. MacDonald, Lorenzen & Dieringer were the only drivers to lead in this race and MacDonald was out front when he lost 3rd gear in lap 97. He ran the rest of the way on two gears. Dave had built a sizeable lead but Darel Dieringer slowly reeled him in and took the lead for good on lap 119. Billy Wade finished 33rd.
