July 4, 1952 at Palm Beach Speedway. Red Farmer crashed and got battery acid in his eyes. Bobby Thompson stopped on track and assisted Red to the infield lake to wash the acid from his eyes.

He was. I took a copy of this pic to Red at Daytona in 1990. He was driving an ARCA car for Marvin Ragan (David's uncle). My son was on the crew and I was in the pits with them.

Tommy you and pioneers like you should be declared bona fide National Treasures ! Red signed a program for me at Montgomery in about 1968-I was about 8 years old. He was always my favorite driver.I'd love to listen to you guys talking to each other. Thanks for sharing these pictures they're great.

It is my pleasure Bill. If we do not share these things now the history that has been made will be forgotten. I had the pleasure of competing with some of the best. Red, Bobby and Donnie, Neil Bonnettand others to numerous to name.
