Got a call from someone close to sitution that said A.J. failed his "B" sample....waiting on media reports
Does two positives make an out?? in Nascars game it does.. the Dinger was taking something he did not talk about but claims he did not know it was banned.. oh well you in the penality box now until I guess
I guess this puts sideways Sam in the drivers seat now huh.. Wasnt kool Aide was it .... I really wonder what it was with so many stimulant drinks out there in plain view ---really makes a person wonder now...
Penske issued a statement saying they would release exactly what the substance was. Heard on NASCAR on Sirius today.
Not being smart or anything ,but if you passed the test would you go out and say yippyy I passed or fly a banner? It should, and I said SHOULD be a no brainer to pass but these days guys and gals are pushing the envelope on what they can get by with. Its in Baseball,Football,Basketball, bicycle racing, swimming or just about any sport where competition is the spirit,oh wait they drink that dont they.
But no I have never heard or read where one passes the test, only if you fail. I think Dinger will go through the Nascar protocol and come out of the drunk tank sober and clean. I just hope it was just an over the counter substance that he was playing with...
I agree, PK. When all this first came out, the "A" and "B" nomenclature, I thought "A" and "B" were two different samples. Now it is clear, as you point out, they are the same sample. Barring a mistake in the testing procedure, how could the results be different?
Found this on AP NEWS
Suspended NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger has agreed to participate in a recovery program after violating the series' substance abuse policy.
In a statement issued Wednesday by Allmendinger's business manager, Tara Ragan, Allmendinger says he will participate in NASCAR's ''Road to Recovery'' program. The program includes an evaluation by a substance abuse professional, counseling or rehabilitation.
NASCAR has suspended Allmendinger indefinitely after a test of his backup urine sample conducted Tuesday confirmed an initial positive test in late June. The series has not said what substance Allmendinger tested positive for. Allmendinger has said he tested positive for a stimulant and did not knowingly ingest a banned substance.
Allmendinger, who is with Penske Racing, says he has hired an independent laboratory in an attempt to find what triggered the positive test.s
Here is whats known at the moment --Because (the lab has) not offered an explanation, because we dont know what it is. . . . Were still waiting for a more detailed report. The initial results ruled out anything illegal as in methamphetamines, cocaine, Ecstasy or marijuana. The test also precluded alcohol.
While we are waiting for the results, its in the best interest of time to get AJ back behind the wheel as quickly as possible, so why wouldnt we if the goal is to get him back in the car? We dont want to waste any more days going forward because he wants to get back in the No. 22 and hes willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. And were going to exhaust every opportunity that NASCAR is giving us to make that happen.
AS YOU WISH
Except for this ~
Something about this whole thing smells. They commented today on the NASCAR Channel on Sirius, that they test at the start of the season at Daytona, then randomly whenever, but virtually never after a race is over. It has always felt like they zeroed in on A.J. at Kentucky. I want to know why?
It just doesn't make any sense.
Good Grief, Have any of you had to submit a sample as part of a job screening. Those of us who served in the military went through random analysis. As far as "separate" samples while it is true that they come from the same testing, in fact there are 2 samples. It is not like one big sample is split into two. Two samples marked and handled separately.
Producing a sample, in two different cups, in the same time frame, will not change the data. It's still the same sample...such a maneuver would only serve to nullify any possible error made in the testing of the first sample. This testing methodguaranteesidentical results.
NASCAR is a perfect example if you say something enough people will begin to believe it...When Tim Richmond got sick ,,, I seen how wrong words can ruin a mans reputation..I still hear words spoken about Richmond that should have not been said..
NASCAR is to cover their own tail's and who ever is in the way ,,well sorry about that. A.J. might have a problem i don't know ,,and neither does anyone other then him..But as i learned from Richmond,,the truth will not come from NASCAR..
