Battle at the Beach Late Model finish

Stock Car Racing History

I know many if not most of folks on here don't know about Kyle Larson. I have tried for a while to post a comment or two to raise some interest in him. I am not proud of his move last night, but we have followed him for 3 years now in our travels in the open wheel world. I have been in and around racing since the 60's and Kyle ,at his age, is the best race car driver I have ever seen. He may or may not make it to the level of AJ, Mario or Stewart, but last night was an anomaly for him. We lament the fact that we won't get to see him near as much on dirt anymore.

New Smyrna Speedway and Orlando Speedway Under NASCAR Sanction

Current NASCAR

I hated it when I heard this. NASCAR basically killed off SLM racing with its neglect of the All-Pro series (purchased from Bob Harmon). PASS and CRA are about all that is keeping some semblance of asphalt SLM racing alive.

Holding Out on Us About Toccoa

Local and Regional Short Track Racing

I have been to 148 tracks in 27 states. My friend Richard Pearson aka "Paperman" posts/pr's for Toccoa, Westminster and Lavonia on various forums. I am sure he peruses this forum from time to time. He is a gold mine of pictures and history.

All Time Greatest Dirt Racers

Stock Car Racing History

Other than tires, most do as far as Late Model or Crate Late Model rules. Many of the other classes have too many varying rules, which also has contributed to classes splitting into other classes. Thus the ridiculous number of classes of cars at most local tracks. The biggest problem is that almost all tracks run on Saturday nights only. There are far fewer Friday night tracks and none that run Thursday or Sunday in the south.

Kyle Larson keeps on winning

Stock Car Racing History

Congrats to Kyle Larson on his NASCAR K&N East win at New Hampshire today. He then flew to Eldora for the 4 crown where he just won the midget portion. He missed qualifying for the midgets and sprints, but made it in time to put Tony Stewart's Silver Crown car on the pole. Kyle swept all 3 races last year. Today's wins push his win total to 24 in 102 races.
