I second that! If so, then Jimmie Johnson, the one with the wrong spelling, lol, would have only one 2 cups, And Tony Stewart would have a 3rd cup!

I have a suggestion but Brian has caller ID and won't accept my calls. I have tried e-mailing him but there is no response from that avenue either. I have confirmed the e-mail address as being correct so I know he is simply ignoring me. Maybe someone else can e-mail him. His e-mail, if you're interested, is: bigdummy@snortingone.stupid Good luck. If you want my recommendation before you try Brian, e-mail me and I'll fill you in.Tim

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

I have llok at it from both sides and putting the last ten races in perspective it makes sense to reward the winningest drivers. To me the flaw is that teams that are high in the standings can use races to test during the summer months. They are trying like hell to tightenn things up creating a title fight but it is what it is.

Like it or not, the "Chase" is probably here to stay. With that said and with the thought process being to keep a battle for the championship alive, I wonder if they have given any thought to the way points are awarded in the "combination" races in the Whelen Modified events? In that series the north and south cars receive points based on their finishes in relation to the other cars in their division. At Bristol, James Civali was credited with a win in the south with a third place finish. Burt Myers was credited with second in the south even though he finished 11th overall. Civali only gained 10 points on Myers. If that formula was applied, Kenseth would still be in 12th but only 96 points back instead of 136 under the current plan. Stewart only 90 back in 10th and Harvick and Boyer would be tied for second. I don't particuarly like either plan over the old system but it some excitement for the 13th spot would make sense to award points based on the guys you are actually racing against for the title. Same for the 13th place bonus. McMurray-190, Jr.-170,Reutimann, 165, etc. That would even create some excitement for that spot.

I say "Chunck the Chase", but they won't, too much invested in it. A Points Champion is supposed to be about a whole season, not 26 qualifying races and then a 10 race playoff.

Dennis, I completely agree with you and I really Love Tim's email address for Brian. Way too funny! But good! Dennis Andrews said:

Rex, I don't think you'll get much argument from most of us on RR. This goat rodeo called Nascrap lay awake nights thinking of ways to keep everything screwed up. Brainless France needs to step back and let professional's run the sport we remember. No offense to goats!!Pete disgusted in Michigan
