Another great leaves us this weekend

Stock Car Racing History

He signed a catalog for me at the PRI show years ago and I would always go over each year and speak to him. NICE guy and had maybe the largest racing engine collection in the world. Bought stuff from him for years. First person I ever saw on an electric scooter. Surprised it didn't have a flathead!

J. B. Day passes away

My invitation came in the mail today too. I thought he may not be having one this year. Sad news as we looked forward to his reunion every June. He was instrumental in giving me the idea for my little "Racing Reunion" each October. He would always speak to us at the show and make us feel welcome. When my health was down he made sure we were given VIP parking treatment. Super human being. Charles Craig

Prayers for Frances Flock please

Administrative

She is just as great a lady in person as she was on the awards ceremony. She is a big supporter of my charity cruise in and racing reunion every October. Get well soon and we hope to see her this October 12th.

Thank you Patsy, he was a special guy. One of our last "riding around trips", he took me to Stewart- Haas to introduce me to some folks he had known a long time.He opened a lot of doors for me with who heknew. It was a lot offun..

Thanks Dub, he always was a "BIG DUB SIMPSON FAN". Tom could tell me the history of your career without even thinking too hard for the details. He was a walking encyclopedia of racing and lived the sport and it's history. He loved the local drivers like yourself who accomplished their dream of being the best by hard work and not being given anything along the way. He gave me a book about the independent drivers several years ago and told me the drivers like you, Kenny Schrader, Larry Wallace, Bryant Wallace, Dunaway, his buddy Bobby Allison, his goodpal Dick Trickle and the others who he had come to know on a personal basis were his " true heroes". To me....that's a dang good compliment! Thank you Dub!
