Age old discussion, to date who is the best to ever sit in the seat of a race car.....

Stock Car Racing History

Mario Andretti, AJ Foyt and Tony Stewart (He has 8 sprint car wins so far this year). Keep an eye on Kyle Larson in the future. He is of the same mold. He has won in an asphalt late model, a NASCAR K&N East car, finished 10th in his first Truck race and has won in midgets, non-wing sprints and winged sprints.

Dinger Failed again?

Stock Car Racing History

Good Grief, Have any of you had to submit a sample as part of a job screening. Those of us who served in the military went through random analysis. As far as "separate" samples while it is true that they come from the same testing, in fact there are 2 samples. It is not like one big sample is split into two. Two samples marked and handled separately.

Duane Goins would be a good source on anything Stick Elliot.

Penske Grabs Ryan Blaney

Current NASCAR

Penske got a good one. We have been watching Ryan for a few years now and he is a terrific driver and a very nice young man. The Blaney's are a fine family.

Kyle Larson wins NASCAR K&N East race at Gresham Motorsports Park

Current NASCAR

Kyle Larson scored his first NASCAR win in the Slack's Auto Parts 150 at Gresham in Jefferson, Ga. Kyle is an ace open wheel cat who has built on last year's incredible year to again be one of the winningest drivers in racing. Another former sprint car driver Cale Conley set fast time and led 145 of 150 laps before Larson passed him on the last restart with 5 to go. It was a proud day for those of us who love our open wheel racing. As a side note, this was my first visit to Gresham after it was re-done from the old Jeffco/Georgia International/Peach State Speedway, when my team raced there. The Gresham's and Dan Elliott and Co. have turned that place into one of the finest short tracks I have ever been to.

A quote or two from the DREAM RACE

Local and Regional Short Track Racing

It was The Prelude to The Dream. The Dream is Friday and Saturday and pays $100,000 to win the 100 lap feature. It is a much better deal than the spectacle of overpaid cats playing (though the charitable aspect is admirable). Listening to track announcer Dustin Jarrett is a nice diversion from what you hear on the tube.

The Vanishing Generation

General

Instead of fretting about the past try traveling to some sprint car, midget, PASS late model races and forget the joke NASCAR has become. Look into names like Kyle Larson, Brady Bacon and such. We watched Ryan Blaney 4 years ago. Everyone wants to get to Cup because of the money, but the best racing isn't in NASCRAP. Staying home from the races because of NASCAR isn't the answer. Brian France et al have been a disaster.

Best Richmond Surprise? Dave Blaney's Son Ryan's 7th Place in 1st Nationwide Race

Current NASCAR

We have been watching Ryan for 3 years now. We are pleased with his run but not surprised at all. The kid is GOOD. The Blaney's are a wonderful family as well. Uncle Dale is a frequent winner in winged sprints.
