I had spoken with Jimmy after finding out, in Jeff's note, thecircumstances he has been facing. I had enough on hand to send him a personal check of $50.

It's great that so many have added what they can for a fellow racer facing extraordinary difficulty.

Jimmy's the "salt of the earth" kinda guy that you just naturally like and want to assist when you can. While I'm not so involved with Racers Reunion as before, the cause of this organization is very commendable.

Forum Conduct and What We Are About

Administrative

At Jeff Gilder's urging, I have sent a check to help Jimmy Johnson. I spoke with him Saturday, Feb 12, and he hopes to have his motor home up and running before the end of the week.

If we all pitch in, Jimmy can enjoy some relief from multiple concerns...after al, isn't this part of the functionsof RR?

The Nascar Hall of Fame

General

There's a very "arbitrary" NASCAR Hall of Fame...one that neglects to choose the financial backer that got it all started...Raymond Parks...is too ignorant to know better. But, I'm personally pleased that several of my friends of 40 years and more are in...David Pearson, Ned Jarrett, Bud Moore, Lee Petty and Bobby Allison made the grade. Cale and DW will too.Hey Michael...where my picture?

RacersReunion Memory Lane Hall Of Fame Activity Schedule

General

Just curious...with all the complaints about Raymond Parks not be chosen for the NASCAR Hall of fame...why is he left out of the Memory Lane Racers Reunion Hall of Fame? Are these voters not aware of him?

Petition for Raymond Parks

Stock Car Racing History

I certainly authorize the use of my name on the petition to induct Raymond Parks into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Had there not been a Raymond Parks and his finanancial support for the sport there might not be a program of its quality in America. As I continue to write features for several newspapers, Mr Parks he will be a focus of attention in the next couple of weeks. I wish I had known Lloyd Seay, a great driver in Mr. Park's stable of superb drivers. I wish I could claim familial connection to Lloyd.Jim Seay
