How many times Danica was mentioned in the Daytona 500

They only counted 120 times? I would have sworn D.W. called her name out at least that many times before the race ever started. But that was an interesting video. I repeat my previous opinion: She is good for NASCAR and NASCAR got theirmoney's worth out of the Daytona 500 telecast. Hard to talk about someone qualifying in the 40s and running in the 30s in the other races but still D.W. manages to cover that somehow. And no, I am NOT a hater, I am not jealous, and I am not envious. I just see things as they are and ask "why"? The answer, of course, is money.

Chase, the "clipart thingy" would be great. As far as I know, I can't be taxed for that......yet! There are few words to adequately describe my distain for that California track. Main reason is Darlington lost Labor Day to that track. I guess my dislike is so ingrained that California is the ONLY track I have never won a race on X-Box. I don't like New Hampshire either though and I win almost everytime there. Don't get much time to play X-Box anymore so I guess I would need to brush up.

So you want more verses to my song, huh? Lol. You should have been around last week when I was trying to write 'rap'. I went to several videos to get the "flow" and believe me, I don't use the language necessary to write rap. But I did learn one thing for sure watching those videos on You Tube......The use of the word Jeremy Clements is alleged to have received his suspension for is about every third word in rap. In between that word is the "F" word and the "B" word as it refers to female dogs. And NASCAR gave its stamp of approval to that at Daytona?????? I swear there is something rotten in Denmark. Wait, I take that back. I was in school with a guy from Denmark and he was a really nice guy. Guess I need to change that to "There's something rotten in Daytona". Oh wait! We're not sure he is in Daytona. No one seems to know where he is. And I'm not talking about 50 Cent.

That is most interesting Dave. What a slam. But then that speedway never impressed me from day one and, besides, wasn't it that hunk of Hollywood glamor that took MY Southern 500 from Darlington on Labor Day.

Being into music as I am, it brings to mind the words of that old standard "California here I come, right back I started from". But who cares? Not I.

And what about that Television series with the old truck and the sweet granny that had the song that went:

Dave, none of the vacuum manufacturers you mention come close to matching the vacuum inside the heads of those under discussion here. But, seriously, after seeing the video on how many times Danica was mentioned during the Daytona 500, I wonder what it would sound like in German, Spanish, French, etc? But, she is good for NASCAR. Even running 40th, D.W. doesn't forget to mention her. Maybe he just likes saying the name. Wonder if Stevie watches those broadcasts?

That is too bad. I can see her taking one of NASCAR's "finest" broadcasters with her to all those F-1 races. Oh well, another dream down the drain.

Carl Long: The Other Side of the Track

This makes me ill all over again. This is another example of NASCAR being in the wrong. And, Mr. Bell, I am NOT a NASCAR hater. I like to think I'm one who believes in fair play across the board for all parties. What was done to Carl Long makes absolutely no sense under any circumstance. It is injustice in its purest form.

Has anyone noticed how D.W. brags, to excess, about how he cheated his entire career, first with one thing, then another, and now acts as though that was the greatest of all achievements for him, that he could beat the system. Just listen to the braggart when he talks about that exploding engine or the lead pellets he would release on the track. Yet the esteem D.W. gets to make fools of broadcasters with his antics in the booth every race on FOX. He degrades the images of Ned Jarrett, Benny Parsons and others who did great jobs up there. Yet, NASCAR and FOX allows him to continue. I'm sure D.W. has redeeming value at some level, but it is not in the broadcast booth. As for the other Waltrip, I'm not sure he has any redeeming value.

Hope these statements don't violate the ROEs. I'm sure if they do, immediate removal will be forthcoming.
