IN RICHARD CHILDRESS'S OWN WORDS
Current NASCAR
Richard is dead wrong when he says Kyle will end up learning something from this. You can NOT CURE stupid. You can NOT FIX stupid. The entire Busch family are idiots.
I enjoy watching the Pocono races on tv. I went there once, 1974 or '75, when I was working for the radio station. That was before those Pennsylvania folks learned some southern manners. Southern Motorsport Journal writers vowed NEVER to go back. We were treated worse than Kyle Busch by RCR. But I'm sure they have improved and I do love to watch the races there.

Randy, the awesome thing about Billy is that EVERY Billy story is a "feel good" story. In the three years I've known the gentleman I have seen example after example of Billy giving to others, caring about others, and going beyond the call of duty to make things happen for deserving people. Billy is one of those individuals who makes the world a much better place just by his being here.

Here! Here! Dave. If the paper carries the Peanuts comic strip, there was a mention of D-Day in the paper. At least our State Newspaper did carry a story on a guy who joined the Navy in October, 1941, when he was 12 and was on board one of the ships that shelled the beach at Omaha. I have real issues with today's society overlooking the holidays in our country honoring the men and women that keep us free. Our local school system had a make-up snow day on Memorial Day and I was really hot. Ann didn't want me to write the Editor because I can't be nice with such issues. I already took on the assinine school board once and the paper wouldn't print the letter even though it was not "mean". Turns out, six weeks after the issue was resolved the way the school board wanted, it came to light that everything said by the school board was lies, plain and simple. Flat out lies. Then, after having the kids go to school on Memorial Day, I find out they were watching movies because there was no school work to do. There are several issues with education in this country and one of the main ones seems to be school board members who have no reverence for our military. Oh well, didn't mean to high jack your post, but we sure see eye-to-eye on this issue.

No comment at this time. I'm waiting for the beer to get cold. And it's Bud, not Busch. (Thanks Barbara)
BT, first up, prayers and thoughts for you and your entire family as you go through all this.
Secondly, I was working for TV in 1992 in Charlotte and walking through the infield from parking to the garage when I walked up beside David. He and I walked together to the garage area, through the infield crowd, through the mass at the gate waiting for the "famous" drivers to come through, and no one, I mean NO ONE recognized David. That was in 1992.
In 1994, I was in line to sign for my credentials at Darlington with a couple of guys and a female sports reporter from one of the networks which will remain nameless. It was the female, me, and two guys behind me at the door when a guy walked up and opened the door to go in. The female blasted him with foul language and insults about breaking in line. He apologized profusely and said he didn't realize there was a line. It was then that I said, "any three time winner of the Southern 500 can go ahead of me Buck". She still didn't know who Buck Baker was. Oh well, time moves on they say.
Thanks for posting BT.
