from what i found out....the thinner windshields were installed loosely bolted in for tech inspection.
then tightened up for racing - which then created a lil lip on the roofline which helped to deflect air off the spoiler
at speed..thus reducing drag on the car...guess a lil aero cheating ???

if they used it ..it would ruin there plans on injection for next year...yea to be greener..better fuel milage ...
something inherient in racing isnt fuel mileage..maybe emissions inspections for 2013...
or let em run alky..burns 2 to 1 compared to gas..oops..that wouldnt work..higher horsepower w alky...
