Dollar General dumping Nascar

Stock Car Racing History

I just heard that Dollar General was dumping Nascar and Joe Gibbs Racing at the end of the current season. The company, based in Tennessee said they would have all the details later today. Guess they didn't like all the empty seats on the TV.

the drivers council said this morning they support Tony's right as a driver and owner to speak his mind. They also said they would pay his fine and divide it equally among all their members. Greg Biffle also stated this morning that he agreed with Tony. This could just go away or get messy, its all up to noclass brian....

Sad news about Billy Wimble

General

I got the news today that Billy Wimble is in hospice care in the Tampa Florida area and needs our thoughts and prayers. He has had bleeding on the brain and it looks very dire, I first briefly met Bill in 1962 at Fonda Speedway. Bill is from Lisbon,NY and won his first race in1955 and first championship in 1958. He won the first NASCAR National Sportsman Championship in 1960. He also won the first NASCAR N.Y. Championship. He was awarded the Carnegie Bronze Medal for assisting Tiny Lund in Getting Marvin Panch from his burning car. I got to spend some quality time at the Modified Racers Reunion in Feb. with Bill and always enjoyed getting together several times a year when I lived in Florida. Please say a prayer for this fine racer and gentleman...

Potentially disastrous fire avoided today at Level Cross' Petty's Garage

General

so fortunate that there were people in the building when it started. That could have been very bad and destroyed some irreplaceable items..

KYLE BUSCH RUMOR NOT TRUE

Current NASCAR

oh my, Tim, you are relentless in your feeling's regarding a certain brand of automobile...lol, Actually the word Tora means tiger and when used together as in tora, tora, tora it means "CHARGE" as in the dastardly torpedo

attack. It seems the word "charge"would be better suited to young Mr. Dillon for his run up thru the JGR team to lead his only lap, the one that really counts... Is it safe to say that if nascar fines Mr. Busch for using the word "fixed" that the Legend purse will not be opened for a little help.
