Jim Croce could have been singing about my friend Roy Tyner when he cut that record back in the day. Another of the unsung independents that kept Nascar from being a five car race when they showed up to fill out the fields and compete as much as their limited finances allowed, Roy always put on a show and was a fan favorite. And check out the colors on his Pepsi Pontiac compared to the Budwieser show car he drove when they sponsored Junior Johnson's team.
