Cold Weather Race Gear
Every February Speedweeks at Daytona, STP Stock Car Racing Director, Ralph Salvino passed out these ski stocking caps ("boggins" as they called them in eastern North Carolina). If you look at old February and March photos taken at Richmond, Rockingham and Atlanta, you'll see a whole lot of these caps being worn on pit road by many different crews. They were a godsend in those icy, snowy places on the Cup schedule and got STP exactly what they were looking for!
"Brrrrrrrrrrr........" cold here in Charlotte. Time to break out my STP racing winter gear!
