Bet he would have hung out with Chad Knaus a lot swapping ideas if he were around today.
For me, it is definitely Mario without a doubt, for his versatility. He not only won races and championships in the same cars as Foyt and Stewart but also took it to a whole another level by winning races and a championship in Formula 1.

On track, not many would disagree that he comes off as entitled and disrespectful (although always entertaining) but I have heard a LOT about Kyle's nicer side off the track to have realized it can't be an act. He even took part in a charity book drive initiated by a young fan, which never really got any publicity but from all accounts, I heard he took personal interest and time out of his schedule to do it.

Great to see so much info, stats and pictures from that race. I read about it for the first time in Johnny's autobiography and then again in Smokey's book. Interesting reading about it from both perspectives. I definitely envy anyone who gets to see such a historically significant car in person!
Yea absolutely, he's another one of those guys that we always talk about like Tony who would have been perfect in the 50s and 60s racing scene, mixing it up all over the map racing everything with a steering wheel.
Oh, I see. I always figured he was more interested in going the IndyCar route but guess not. Yea, it was not the smartest of moves to attempt to go at it alone in stock cars just as the sport was getting more and more to where you had to be part of a big organization to win. Like you said, the time had past for success stories like Kulwicki's. A real shame as he could've done big things had he stuck with RCR.
