Is this the 2014 Chevy for NASCAR?

General

It looks likely but I've also read the following at another site.

'It's pretty well accepted in the car industry that the next Chevy model will be a US version of the new Holden Commodore. Also Chevy and Holden in the near future will begin to cross develop a majority of their cars together.'

This is the Holden Commodore by the way. They use this car in Australian V8 Supercar competition against the Ford Falcon.

I haven't heard it yet as I download from the archives later but regardless of what was said, I am 100% in favor of continuation of the Legendtorial.

Royall Speedway Video - Richmond - 1952

Historic Speedways and Ghost Tracks

Great footage, thanks for sharing. After the video completes, there is a link in one of the squares to watch a 5 minute reel of footage from Arlington Raceway, which is also nice.

Simple As Impactful As Fancy NASCAR Marketing Says Leonard; Wood Bros. Practice What They Preach

General

You said it, Tim. Class act indeed. I'm glad we can still get to see the #21 out on track, it still being prepared and represented by those same people for the most part.

Really Fox??

Current NASCAR

They need to lose the term commercial break because a commercial with race breaks is what it is anymore. At Daytona, they hype up the halfway bonus, then take a long commercial with 5 laps to go to halfway. Then under the red flag is when they decide to go side by side! In general, their timing has been absolutely rotten, constantly going away on commercial just as the action is heating up and then returning after having missed the pass.

'63 Rebel 300 Actually Twin 150-mile Races with 30 Minute Intermission - Weatherly Winner on Combined Points

Stock Car Racing History

The convertibles are my favorite historic series by far. Nothing like being able to clearly see the drivers at work. Wish there was more footage available of the convertible races. I have the usual Daytona beach race footage from the late 50s but would absolutely love to see footage from places like Soldier Field.
