Hunt for Riverside photos

Historic Speedways and Ghost Tracks

Hi Kevin, this is absolutely fantastic !!! What a super talent you have !!Can't wait for some of our friends to see these videos. I always thought it was amazing when some one would bring me a model car they had made of my racecars, also have some Die Cast cars some folks would bring to me. Wouldn't change any of them for money, even though I have been offered quite a bit for them. My family has already viewedyourtrack collections!! Wish I had something to help because I never got to these tracks you are making. Only saw them on TV, as the tracks I competed on was Daytona and Charlotte, as well as many dirt local tracks within the East Coast area. Thanks so much for your contribution through Racers Reunion Members.

God bless and we love you and yours,

Billy and Barbara Scott

Pastor Don Moore Passed away

Stock Car Racing History

What a sweet tribute to one of the Lord's messenger!! Really nice of you to remind people there are so many Pastor's who are not only part of the racing fans but also a participant. He gave to everyone from the hearts of others who made the food gifts possible, but also from his own heart and gifts. He definitely represented the Lord in so many ways. He will be missed by many. Thanks again Bobby, really nice of you. God bless and we love you and yours.

Job Well Done Tim, As Always!!

Administrative

Tim, on behalf of Family, Friends, Fans and myself; want to let you know how much we appreciate all the hard work you and others did, to make the AIRPS Hall of Fame induction such a nice and successful event, FridaySeptember 11th-12th. Everyone, like me, seemed to have enjoyed seeing drivers we have not seen in many years. Some we had to guess who they were, others we asked who they were, and still others we knew for sure. Guess the person who enjoyed it most of all, would have been our daughter. She grew up with many of these guys and had a ball reuniting friendships.

The food was just the best we've eaten at an induction event and it surpassed many restaurants. We took our time eating so we would not miss one bit of the wonderful taste. Only wish we lived closer to the provider so we could become "regulars" there.

You and all the helpers went out of the way to see thateach of us had what we needed, so we could enjoythe event more.As we watchedall of youworking,we could not help but wonder, "Are we worth all the attention each of you gave all in attendance"?

Don't know if we will be able to attend another trip for racing events, (a friend and new fan,Buck Boggs, who previously lived in Aiken, got us there this time,) but if we don't ,we can truly say you "all" have left a great impression in our minds andon our hearts!!!

Thank you, we love you all, and God bless.

August 30, 1963 - Ray Hendrick Takes Virginia 400 NASCAR National Championship Modified-Sportsman Go at Richmond's Southside Speedway Over Future Winston Cup & Indy 500 Rookies of Year in Same Race!

Stock Car Racing History

Thanks for all the memories and new knowledge about a lot we had only heard about and never had the great pleasure of competing against, such a great field of drivers. If you don't have a chance to put all of this into books, you should at least record all of your memories and knowledge, so some one can later compile it all into books! You're just a machine of racing information! Honestly, we believe you know more about racing than anyone we have met. Thanks for sharing all this with dedicated racing fans as well as those becoming addicted to the sport. Thanks again Dave and we love you, God bless.

Thank You

General

Hi Dave, so sorry we did not know about your medical problems, but since reading all the symptoms you have been having, it certainly sounds so memorable!!! Haven't been on RR much lately and that's how we missed this. So sorry this happened to you as you are, definitely,at the top of our list of true gentlemen!!

You share all the racing info with everyone and never in anarguing situation about any of your knowledge, in fact; it is believed RR is a betterracing site because of all the information you relate to us!! It would have been an honor to have met you and spent time with you, back in the day. We seemed to have been in the same places, at the same time, with the same people much of the time. Just our loss!!!

Will be prayingfor your recoupment in the future, as we can relate to the swollen leg following surgery, as Barbara suffered several blood clotsat the same time, after removing a knee implant with some of the bone for three months. Very scary to all of us as two clots went into the lung and wasn't expected to survive. Has continued having clots once in a while after doctors took her off Coumadin forother surgeries.

You will be fine Dave, even though you may have to be careful from now on,to eliminate chance of developing any clots. God bless, and with our prayers, comes our love and appreciation for all you are and do for everyone!!

Bennett (Benny) Clontz's Daughters

Administrative

Bill, thanks a million!!! We did know that Benny had passed away and that is why we wanted to get the letter(s) to them. What kind of doctor is Kim? Is Morganton too large of a city to just put their name on an envelope and they may get it? I know some towns won't do that, but I thought since she is a doctor, they just might get it to her. Bill, you are so nice and kind to all members on RR and we knew someone like you would take this to heart and help!!!

God bless and we love you.

Bennett (Benny) Clontz's Daughters

Administrative

We are trying to locate Benny Clontz's two daughters, Kim and Debra. Don't know if they are married or not, so we don't have a last name, other than Clontz. Do know he had two grandsons, Kyle and Duston,as he talked about them most of the time!!! Benny stayed in touch with us and we have a letter(s) from 1996we would like for them to have. Please tryto help us by searching for a name, address, or telephone number. If you, by chance, talk to either of them, please have them call us at 864-427-0433 or e-mail us at bbscott52@hotmail.com . Your co-operation will be greatly appreciated.

God bless and we love you all,

Trevor Bayne diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis

Current NASCAR

STAND TALL TREVOR!!!
Trevor was so right when he related, "I am a race driver, that'swhat I do, but that's not allthat I am." If the Lord sent him into this sport as a "Christian Ambassador", MS nor anything else can stop him from continuing to win. Whether it be a racing winneror a way of winning lives to the Lord, he will surely be a winner either way. Trevor and "Tebow"have already reached many people withtheir strong belief and witness of Christ!!Every young person, as well as the elderly, needother Christianheroes like these young men. God bless Trevor, as my wife can tell and show you what God can do (for thirdstageDuctal Carcinoma cancer, choosingnot to accept radiation nor the strongest chemo (because of age)after a mastectomy).
It will be 5 years since surgery in January 2014, with no sign of returning cancer. With Faith such as yours, you could well be God's next miracle!!!!
