Hey all,I worked the 1st 125 qualifier for car 51 driven by Kerry Teague. For the life of me I cannot remember the crew chief's full name.His first name was Dick as he had moved from California to the south sometime in the 70's. He had relative success as I was told. Does anyone know who I am talking about? Just sentimental reasons on my end.

Does anyone have driver stats of the Sportsman class as far as car numbers go?
I have a picture of an older Cup car that last ran in the Limited Sportsman division. The owner would like to identify the original race team that it started life with. It appears to bea Banjo car,from other pictures that I have seen.Some guys are thinking it's an old Hendrick car,but I thought most of Rick's cars were front steer.It has a red interior.Online, it's hard to find much info on the Sportsman class.I found races and finishes but not too much on pictures and id.

True Benny Story.It's 1996 and its Speedweeks at Daytona.My team was staying at the same hotel as Benny and his wife.Well,we got back to the motel room from after working at the track all day.I forgot something in the truck and went down to get it by way of the elevator.Once I entered the elevator,Benny and his wife were on it heading down to the bottom level as I was.I knew he was going to supper,so I messed with him a little.I laughingly suggested a different floor and he walked in front of the control panel and said,"No,I'm going to eat and don't mess with it."He wasn't joking,at least I don't think he was,LOL.That gave me a good laugh for the night.
Dave,some of those ladies were involved in racing to a degree.There were quite a few that were not.Some were strippers,models,etc.The contest is fairly open to any lady that desires to compete.When a I see local gal win, that isracer at heart,my respect goes deep.She's not just a pretty face but someone who can back up it with racing knowledge.Summer Smith,Robin Johnson,Billy Jo Steiner are a few that carried that torch.Motorsports is a great time to get to gether with friends,enjoy the sights,have a few laughs etc.
Sounds like a good plan.Steve Hmiel is a smart one as well.This should be a good team that has some great personnel assembled.
This is from the late 80's early 90's when I started driving.I used Kendall 50 weight in my alcohol fueled small block.In later years with the engines on gas,Pennzoil,then as of current,I use Mobil 1 15w-50.
