I cannot imagine the pain they feel right now. Things like this just don't make any sense. I hope God will comfort them in some way

Benny Parsons was one of the best race commentators I've heard in my life. BTW, does anyone here remember those Benny's Grill segments (I think that's what it was called)during ESPN race broadcasts?
That was an A+ response, Tommy! You are the man!
It's about time NASCAR started trying to return to its short track roots. I was beginning to wonder if short tracks would become non-existent in the top tiers of the sport! It's a small step, but it's a start...I just hope NASCAR decides to follow through with it.
I always liked the commercial with Dale Sr., Dale Jr. and Taz
Yeah, that was one of the best races I have seen all year. And, of course, it's good to see Marcos in Victory Lane as well
Does anyone here have pictures or memories of this 1979 race where Cale Yarborough beat Richard Petty for the win? Also, I noticed JD McDuffie finished 5th after being a threat to win. Anybody know what happened?
David, I totally agree with you about driver personalities. The drivers I grew up watching--Dale Sr., Elliott, Petty, Rusty Wallace, and others--they were really interesting to listen to; they had personality. Brad K is probably one of the very few Cup drivers left that I could stand to listen to; most of the rest of them sound like some corporate PR person pre-wrote their interview scripts. It's the same way in the Nationwide Series too, though. Except for some, like Jeremy Clements and Mike Wallace--always fun to see them on the Nationwide Series GarageCam
I'll tell you someone who really desecrated the National Anthem before a race; it was at Richmond sometime in the early or mid 2000's, and they brought in a pop singer called Uncle Kracker. He received a well-deserved shower of boos after his 'performance'
