Mr. Parks is one of the most wonderful men in this world. He is truly a "Southern Gentleman" and I am honored to know him and his family.

On the advice of fellow re-union-er, Gene Hobby, I'm reading Mr. Parks' autobiography "Driving With the Devil" it's available from Amazon.com.Unbelievable!

I recently finished up DWTD too. While Raymond Parks is a central figure to the book, its not an autobiography. Neal Thompson did a great job writing the book & interviewed Mr. Parks a lot to get material for it. He gave Thompson a lot of good info not only about himself but also about Roy Hall, Red Byron, the Flocks, etc. The book is easily among the top 5 I've ever read about racing.

DWTD is an excellent book, a true history history lesson in stock car racing and Raymond Parks has become quite an icon to me since reading it.
