This race wrapped up a ridiculously busy multi-day schedule for the teams. They raced on Maundy Thursday at Greenville-Pickens, had Good Friday off, ran again at Rambi Speedway on Saturday, hoofed it up to Martinsville for a rescheduled race on Easter Sunday, and wrapped up the grind with the Easter Monday race at Bowman Gray.

1969 Bowman Gray - Perk Brown wins 200-lap modified race
Though SCHEDULED for April 2nd, the 1956 Easter Monday race at Peace Haven was apparently rained out - just as it was in 1955. From April 5, 1956 Spartanburg Herald.

Fred Lorenzen made his only Bowman Gray GN start in the 1963 Easter Monday race. Raced #44 Ford in third of three starts for owner Stewart McKinney.

Peace Haven ran in the Early 50s It wasswitched to Bowman Gray later. I drove at Peace Haven in 1951.
1965 Bowman Gray Easter Monday was SCHEDULED for April 18th. But the race was rained out and re-scheduled for May 15th.
The April 2 Peace Haven race was rescheduled for May 6. Here is the results -
