Wow! This one begs for a Legendtorial. May yet get to do that one but I'll have to cool down a little bit. I personally think there are few things more disgusting than someone like this guy who has NO clue about the subject he seeks to discuss. He goes off on some rant with no substance and proves he is nothing more than the typical book-educated, common sense deficient idot. There is just something inside me that makes it impossible for me to think about living in a city like New York with the likes of people who dwell there. People who watch and listen as a women is being raped and killed and do nothing. We rednecks don't behave like that. Ok, that'sw enough for tonight. I don't want to get on the rant now.
Thanks for posting this.Very thought provoking for sure. I'll give this further evaluation and maybe comment later but it sure seems the comparsion is right on point. I couldn't have don't the job this well.

WOW! Awesome job Mr. Gilder. I am awestruck.
In the true spirit of Christmas, and being the true Legend I am, I have invited D.W. to my home to celebrate the wonderful holiday. We are having baked gopher, roasted potatoes, rice, carrots, and red velvet cake for dessert. The fact that I had to drive verifies the fact that D.W. still suffers from the hallucinations that have him believe NASCAR history began in 1980, and that his announcing duties on tv qualify as "talent". I further understand that Santa is still ticked about last year when D.W. yelled at the raindeer up his chimney. He yelled "boogity, boogity, boogity" and the raindeer took off like a rocket. Took the elves two hours to get them under control. So, D. W. is getting nothing for Christmas this year so I am trying to be kind.

I was not necessarily bound to the car make because when I saw Richard's first race he was driving an Oldsmobile. But after he was in Plymouths from 1959 on, he had us convinced that nothing was better than a Plymouth. He is the one who established that in me and many others. And, as I said, I absolutely hated a Ford for reasons I'll go into in a blog post someday.
