Buren Skeen of Denton, NC was envolved in a wreck with Reb Wickersham in the early laps of the September 6, 1965 Southern 500 at Darlington. Buren Skeen raced Modifieds at Bowman-Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem before launching his Grand National career in 1965. Unfortunately Mr. Skeen died from complications nine days after the Darlington wreck. This is a Buzz Mims photo.
