TRIVIA QUESTION

Stock Car Racing History

Randy and Mike, this is the car I was thinking of, just not sure if it was 1966 or 1967. There was a lip on the roof on his 1966 entry?Pete

The Bud Shootout or Should I say the Chase for the Cup, Rookie of the Year, Daytona winners, and Cup Champions Shootout??

Current NASCAR

Maybe most drivers who would run for Rookie of the year heard Danica was coming in the series before the season began and just figured why bother...even though she had no plans for the Cup series. We all know who will be Rookie of the year when she decides to run a Cup schedule. Also, great comment from Leon about Nascar putting on a show instead of a race. Couldn't have said it better myself!!Pete, finally thawing out in Michigan.

It is with deep regret and sadness that I must inform you all

General

I watched it in the late 60's and it stunk. Wouldn't waste any time watching it today.Pete

How would you fix NASCAR?

General

I agree with Robbie's comments especially #3 limiting teams to one car. Just to take it one step further... no back door satellite teams and each team must build their own engines. The "superteams" have ruined the sport. Too many resources pushing the little guy out of business..Great comments from Cody, too!Pete

NASCAR driver dispute resolution concept

General

I really like that idea, David. I feel though they would have to fight while the emotions are high and the owners and handlers haven't talked them down. Maybe the drivers would think twice about intentionally wrecking someone if they had to fight with their fists instead of hiding behind a 3500 lb. race car. I vote YES!!Pete

Edward vs Keselowski

General

I didn't watch much of the Atlanta race so I wasn't sure of what Carl was retaliating. If it was from Talledega, that was Carl trying to block coming down to the checkers. That was Carl's problem and he lost. Did Brad do something intentional to Carl during the race at Atlanta? Nascar should throw the book at Cousin Carl for such a dangerous move that could have killed someone. From what I saw in the stands, parts could have flew off the 12 car and missed anyone sitting in the seats.Pete

How cool is that to have a receptionist say just go ahead a walk around. Never happen today.

Eric, I kinda stumbled on the website with the H-M pictures when I was looking for pictures of Jabe Thomas. As far as Holman Moody, they have a website that I put on below, but I'm not sure what they are doing now, if anything. There was some talk of a Museum, but again I don't know for sure.Check it out. Wasn't that a nice picture of Waddell Wilson working on a crank at H-M back in the day? http://www.holmanmoody.com/history.html
