Bob Burcham of Rossville, GA won the Blount 300 Late Model Sportsman race at Smokey Mountain Raceway in Maryville, TN on November 1st, 1970. Dave Mader won the pole position for the 33 car field driving a 1964 Chevelle. Burcham led all but 53 laps in the event. Other lap leaders were L.D. Ottinger, and Bosco Lowe. Bob Burcham took home $1600 for the victory before a crowd of 7000 fans.
